people say that bilinguals usually sound different when speaking different languages, I can't feel the difference but now watching yoora speaking Korean makes me realize that's true! wow I mean this amazes me, I need to know why scientifically tho

Probably because of different dictions, sounds (pronunciation of vowels and consonants in diff. languages), sentence structure, intonation and influence around other people.. most koreans speak in a way that sounds cute(?) or bubbly and they tend to elongate the last word in their sentences but idk its just an observation for me

Same with me I’m slovak and I’m way more energetic when speaking slovak as it’s a bit more foreign to me as I speak English so much and everything I do is in English so it’s refreshing speaking in something new XD that’s also why I love speaking russian and Japanese too

i’m korean but i was born in america and lived here my whole life so my korean is a bit worse than my english but my friends always tell me that my korean makes me sound like a sweet nice person and that my english makes me sound straightforward and kind of scary? i guess it’s true since so many people are saying it too haha

I'm studying Korean and hearing Yoora speak makes me feel like I actually know a lot of the basic words she's talking about 😂, I mean it's still Korean and I don't understand fully what she was saying, but because she's so calm and kind of slow in talking, it gives me more time to get what words she was using, it contrasts to the fast-talking of other Korean people I watch here in YT. It makes me feel like I did great as a korean-learner 😂😂😅
